My Ascent Into Self-Healing with Hemp – Michael Hasty

My Ascent Into Self-Healing with Hemp for Acute Sciatica & Acute Lumbar Disc Herniation.

On the morning of April 9th, 2013, I was transported to the hospital via ambulance because of an injury to my back, lifting a 40lb bag of dog food. I was in tremendous pain and fortunately I was connected to a Morphine Drip upon arrival in the Emergency Room.

My back was x-rayed, and I was diagnosed with Acute Sciatica and Acute Lumbar Disc Herniation. I was discharged later that day and instructed to see a pain management group of doctors in Dallas.

Following is my documented medical history of the diagnosis, treatments, and current outcome.

EXAMINATION DATE: 04/09/2013 – Methodist Health System

Examination: CT LUMBAR SPINE WO IV C

Technique: Contiguous axial sections through the lumbar spine were obtained from T12 to S1 without intravenous contrast. The data was reformatted in multiple parasagittal and coronal planes.

Findings: The canal is narrow on a congenital basis. – Minor Disc bulging diffusely at L2-3. – Protruding disc material into the right neural foramen at the L3-4 level. Please correlate for right L3 radiculitis. – Minor disc bulging at L4-5. – Minor anterior subluxation L5 on S1. Bilateral spondylolysis at L5. Disc bulging with asymmetric protrusion in the lateral recess and left neural foramen at L5-S1. – Partial compression of the left L5 nerve at the left neural foramen. – 4 cm right renal low-density mass density measurements compatible with a cyst. Atherosclerotic calcifications present.

Impression: 1. Protruding disc material into the right neural foramen at L3-4. Right L3 nerve appears to be compressed or displaced. Please correlate for right L3 radiculitis. – 2. Grade 1 spondylolisthesis L5 on S1 due to bilateral L5 spondylolysis. Broad-based protruding disc material into the left lateral recess and left neural foramen superimposed on disc bulging. Compression of left L5 nerve within the foramen from the disc material and facet hypertrophy. 3. 4 cm right renal mass compatible with a cyst.

Clinical Impression:

            Primary Impression: ACUTE SCIATICA

Additional Impression: ACUTE LUMBAR DISC HERNIATION

Paladin Hemp Paste Treatment Start Date – 05/09/2018

FOLLOW UP EXAMINATION DATE: 10/23/2019 CareNow Primary Care Clinic

Examination: LUMBAR SPINE

Findings: Moderate disc space narrowing at L3-L4, L4-L5 and L5-S1. – The remaining vertebral body heights and disc spaces are well-maintained. – There is no fracture or subluxation.

Since starting, June 29th, 2017, my daily sublingual treatments of CBD Oil then Hemp Paste, I have been pain free from my Herniated Disc and Sciatica. I visited a CareNow Primary Care Clinic on Oct 23rd, 2019 to confirm if an x-ray would indicate the same findings as of my 2013 x-rays. They did.

Without the Hemp Paste, the pain returns with a vengeance within 10-15 days and I become bedridden. Had I access to Hemp Paste or Hemp Oil in 2013, I would have saved thousands of dollars in spinal injections, the possibility of surgery, taking narcotics, and the prospect of becoming an opioid addict.
